Advantages: Close to local amneties
Disadvantages: Very Loud
On my holiday to Magaluf I stayed in the Fiesta Magamar, wasn't the hotel I wanted to stay in but it was the one which had rooms available when I was going. It is fairly close to everything, only downfall is there is a long street to walk to to get to it and in the night I suppose you could see it as quite dangerous especially if on your own so always stay with somebody, it is near an open field also. It is right around the corner from the Pirates, an entertainment night for all to see!
The hotel itself looked lovely from the outside, as clean as you would expect, not the best though. It was built like a prison. A massive gaping hole in the middle of the hotel which meant everything from the bottom floor upwards echoed constantly, not the best when you do actually want some sleep one night. The Pool is tiny, and really not that much space around it so probably best to go to the beach instead.
The price for my holiday was £260 for 2weeks self catering, in May, which isnt classed as peak season but is still very busy and enough nightlife and most things open.
There was a bar, and a basic restaurant which provided mostly pastas of allsorts, obviously if i went to the bar or the restaurant I had to pay as didnt go all inclusive. When arriving at the hotel there many reps to welcome my party and offer us a package of nights out, goodies and a night at The Pirates for a certain amount of euros, which I took. Thought it was a good way to get to know the reps who I always found were available to help.
Personally I dont think its much of a family hotel, I did hear about alot of bad incidents peoples property being stolen and rooms being broken into luckily it didnt happen to us, but we did put a deposit on a safe in the room which is situated in the wardrobe and you get a key for, you do get the deposit back on leaving the hotel. One night we were on our balcony (which overlooked 2 other hotels and a few restaurants) and we seen somebodies property thrown out of the hotel and people arguing not a nice scene. There was nothing in there for kids to do, no kids clubs or anything so really I think not a family orientated hotel. More for teens, and people not expecting any sleep at all. There wasnt really any entertainment just music being played at the bar up until 11pm.
The apartments are basic, with 2 single beds in 1 room and a sofa bed in the main room. Out of the 2weeks I stayed there a maid cleaned the sheets and the rooms twice, but I asked for somebody to come clean the sheets twice more as personally I didnt think this was enough. The reps were always posting leaflets etc under the door though to keep us informed of when they were in the hotel, and events that were happening which I thought was really good and kept us well informed.
Summary: All In All I'd Say 6/10

- 26/10/08 How much did you pay? Was there a bar? A restaurant? any activities for kids? Evening entertainment?
What was your apartment like? How many do they sleep? What is the service like? How often are the rooms cleaned? |
