Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful accomodation

I recently visited Paris on a very strict budget. Having used Formule1 before I decided to stay in one in Paris.
I chose the Porte de St Ouen location and would recommend it to anyone on a budget.
For 200ff (say £20) per night you get a basic room with a double and single bed. Showers and loos are down the corridor in self cleaning plastic space ships! Entry to rooms is by pin number, breakfast is extra. (£2)
This all sounds pretty off putting, but the price is the key and everything is immaculatly clean, the staff friendly and do speak english.
The hotel is a 8 min walk from the metro in one direction and 2 mins from the Clingancourt flea market the other (and a bus terminus).

Generally speaking the Formule1 chain are basic and located in industrial zones throughout France.

Give it a look, and if you need "ensuite" this particular branch has an "Etap Hotel" next door - same chain - that gives you these facilities for about £5 more.
