This is a wonderful proper old fashioned 4 star Roman hotel. The building is old and partly built into the remains of a medieval monastery, parts of which are visible in the interior walls. It is located next to the torre dei conti, a large defensive tower built in the 13th century and the forum of Augustus. The panorama from the bar and restaurant roof terrace is one of the best in Roma, with a clear view of all of the Roman forum. We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding reception here, and it was a truly magical evening mainly owing to the view.
