Newest Review: ... we got a very good deal, but from what I remember the room rate quoted was about £80 (obviously these rates very according to the currency exchange). There was three of us sharing quite a large room with en-suite facilities and English TV channels.(sadly I rate this as quite important). The food in the hotel was superb, and breakfast was buffet style with a wide choice of breads, meat, cheeses and eggs. More than enough to keep you going for the day. The one downside of this hotel, was its location from the town centre. It was in a primarily residential area, a good 20 minute walk and a ferry ride across the river to get into the town. ... more

i stayed in this hotel in the early 90`smy friend and i both had money stolen from our room.enough said.

I stayed in the Galaxy hotel whilst on a educational trip in 1993, but still have some vivid memories of this holiday. The hotel was quite a grand affair, not really appropriate for a bunch of drunken welsh students, but hey, this was Amsterdam and anything goes.
