Luxurious, beautiful hotel in the centre of Singapore (Golden Landmark Hotel Singapore)

Firstly - it has been a couple of years since I have been to Singapore - but the impression the hotel had on me will last for a number of years to come.

I had won the the trip as an all expenses paid price - and after the 11 hour flight - wondered what my accomodation would be like for the next 2 weeks.

The entyrance was very impressive - with escalators up to the reception area.

There was lovely big reception - with lots of comfy chairs and shops around the sides of the vast hall. On eof teh shops made shirts, suits & blouses - made to measure and lots of items were made of the finest silk.

I also spotted the small bar area to the left of the reception - which would be my local for the rest of my holiday.

The staff were very friendly and quickly we were escorted to our room by a porter.

Our room was on the 11th floor overlooking the infamous "Bugis Street" or Queen Street as its now known.

The room was very plush and had a lovely big comfy bed with lots of cushions.

There was a lunge area - where we could sit and eat our room delivered meals and overlook the streets below.

The service the staff provided was fantastic and so hospitable. The bar staff especially were wonderful - making up endless glasses of "singapore slings".

Most nights there would be singers or a band in the bar - which seemed to stay open all day and night.

There was a pool area on the top floor of the building - but due to the weather at the time we went - we didnt get to spend time there.

If I could go to Singapore again or had to recommend accomodation there - this would be the place to go without a doubt.

Summary: Can't wait to be able to stay here again and experience the luxury of it all.
