Advantages: Lovely hotel, very clean, food was excellent

Disadvantages: A couples only hotel, not suitable for those with children. Entertainment could be better

I recently stayed at this hotel during a holiday to Tenerife with my boyfriend.

We booked this hotel through Thomson holidays. It cost around £550 per person for a week, including flights. This was for half board.

The hotel itself:
This hotel is a 4 star hotel located in Costa Adeje in Tenerife. It is actually just where Cossta Adeje meets Las Americas so is a great location for exploring both of these areas. The hotel is now an adult only hotel meaning no children are allowed to stay in it. This gives the hotel an overall quieter atmosphere, but obviously means it isn't suitable for young families. This hotel is located right on the beach. In the hotel there is a gym, a spa and tennis courts.

The rooms:
This hotel has 365 rooms. There are double rooms, superior rooms, sea view rooms, superior sea view rooms, suites and junior suites. I stayed in a standard double room and this was lovely. The room was bright, airy and spacious. The rooms come with a tv, a safe and a minibar. The rooms are cleaned daily.

The pools:
There are 3 swimming pools in this hotel. 1 of these is heated during winter months. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pools. One great thing about this hotel is you cannot reserve sun loungers with a towel before 10am. This suited us perfectly as we could get up, have breakfast and then head to the pool without having to worry about all sun loungers being taken. As well as standard sun loungers there were some fancy ones with mattresses, and also double sunbeds which were very cmfortable. These were available for all guests with no extra charge. There is also an outdoor hottub at the hotel which we used regularly.

The food:
As we stayed half board at the hotel this included breakfast and evening meal. You could not swap the evening meal for lunch as you can in some half board hotels. The food at this hotel was excellent. It was buffet style but was of a far higher standard than most of these hotels. At breakfast there was a full selection of continental breakfast, pastries, cereals, fruit, juices, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses etc. There as the usual cooked breakfast options, bacon, eggs, sausages. There is a 'show cooking' section where you could go and have foods cooked for you to order like eggs, omelettes and pancakes. Evening meal was similar, and in the show cooking area you could have your meat/fish cooked to order. There was always a great selection of meat, lamb, chicken, sirloin steaks, pork etc.

The entertainment:
There are 3 bars in this hotel as well as a lounge and a piano bar. My favourite bar was the sunset chill out bar where there were comfortable beds/loungers and seats where you could sit and watch the sunset while being served drinks. This bar was open all day and evening, not just at sunset time. There was also often live music. I found that the evening entertainment at this hotel to be a bit boring. It was usually something like a singer or one night there was a group of acrobats but this didn't impress me much.

The drinks:
As we were half board, we had to pay for all drinks at the hotel. You could not pay cash for these, instead you had to sign for them and they were charged to your room. This was fine but I prefer to pay for drinks as I go along so I know how much I have spent! The drinks were slightly more expensive than in the bars surrounding the hotel so we would often have a drink or two with dinner then head out to a nearby bar. The soft drinks in particular were expensive, so while I lay at the pool I sent the other half to the nearby supermarket for some soft drinks and bottled water!

Nearby:
Nearby there were plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also. Water park within walking distance for any thrill seekers. There are also plenty of excursions running which can be booked through the hotel or at one of the companies nearby.

I give this hotel a 5 out of 5 stars. It is a lovely holiday for those who want a little bit of luxury without spending a fortune. I would definitely recommend into friends and family and would certainly stay there again myself!

Summary: I'd go back!
