Advantages: Friendly staff, proximity to city and railway station

Disadvantages: No disadvantages, it's perfect for me!

Hilton hotels are my favourite but, due to being a bit skint, we hadn't stayed in any recently. On a trip to Dublin in July we fell in love with the suburb Kilmainham which is just a few minutes on the bus from the city centre. There was a Hilton hotel there so my partner investigated and managed to get us a good deal for our stay there in mid-October.

We weren't disappointed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with a flat screen TV and a mega size comfortable bed, so big in fact that I lost my partner in it! The whole place was so clean. Breakfast was excellent.

I can heartily recommend the Hilton Hotel Kilmainham Dublin as an alternative to staying in the centre of the city. It is just a short bus ride away from the centre and is opposite the famous Kilmainham Jail which is a great place to visit. There are also lots of friendly pubs nearby. It is also just 10 minutes' walk from Heuston Railway Station where there are frequent bus links to the airport.
