I have stayed here a couple of times because during certain times of year there are big trade exhibiitons and the hotels get fully booked. Holiday Inn Express is similar to a low cost airline you get what you pay for in this case a clean room with minimal facilities. I will recommend Express chain as you get a decent hotel at a good price with breakfast thrown in. A negative is that they are usually located away from the main site, that said you are only 15 minute walk from Potzdammer Platz so not that bad. The hotel has a mix of guests from business people through to budget travellers so the eating area is interesting in the morning. Across the road is an Aldi and it is much cheaper to pop in tehr ethan use the vending machines for a water or snack
Would I use it again yes it is clean with efficent check in andf out and staff are polite and well meaning TIP dont expeect food if you arrive late the restaurant shuts relatively early

Summary: good for a budget
