Advantages: Food. Location. Price

Disadvantages: Small room

Firstly, I just want to say, I loved San Francisco. What a great city! Moving on though to this hotel, we both thought it proved to be top draw.

Based in Fishermans Wharf, this hotel gave us everything we needed. Fishermans Wharf is the touristy bit of San Fran, and the rest of the hotels in the area which are part of the big chains, are expensive, expensive, expensive. In fact, the neighbouring Holiday Inn in the same area were lots more indeed. Our hotel though wasn't financially crippling and gave us what we wanted.

Yes, the rooms are not the biggest, but they have all the mod cons you need. The staff were very welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Check in was smooth and done at pace.

What was my highlight? Breakfast! I like my food and I had my worries about the cold buffet options I knew we were going to have. In fact, they turned out to be spot on. Lots of bread, pastries and cakes!! For a man who loves his food, this food filled you up plenty for a late lunch!

In short, I would recommend this hotel 100%. It isn't 5 star, but then you get great value for what you pay!

Summary: Great choice for those who dont want to break the bank!
