Advantages: Location, Price, Quality
Disadvantages: Noise
I recently had a chance to get away on my own for a weekend and wanting to up my holiday Inn, priority membership points, had a look for special offers on the website http://www.holiday-inn.com. They had pleny of offers, but I plumped for the weekender plus offer. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Bussy St George which involved a short trip on the RER from CDG airport and then a 5 minute walk. A 2 night stay inclusive of breakfast cost me £120. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I was dissapointed that the swimming pool was closed as the weather was wonderful. The receptionists all speak good English. I ate in the restaurant for breakfast and 1 dinner. The main problem for dinner is that there is a recreation room right next to the restaurant and the noise level from the kids was quite horrendous. The food was good and plentiful. Breakfast was an all you can eat affair, plenty of croissants, coffee, breads, pastries, cereal etc. Also 'american style' hot food - sausages, eggs etc, but they looked a bit dried up so I didn't touch them. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but was right above the front door, so a bit noisy. I couldn't move as the hotel was full, so I just kept the window shut , which was no hardship as the air conditioning was quiet. Usual Holiday Inn choice of pillows so I rang down for firmer ones. Bed was comfortable and the shower was GREAT!!!, really powerful. Plenty of choice on the TV. Room Service was prompt and cheap(ish)£1.85 for a pot of coffee. The hotel was only 2 stops on the RER away from Disneyland, so was really handy for a cheap break aaaaway. All in all, if you're going to Dineyland, Paris and don't want to pay onsite prices, this is a good budget choice.

- 27/05/02 I loved the Holiday Inn breakfasts when i stayed there last year! A bit more inoformation would have been nice though, it feels like a lot of bits that you could have added have been skipped. Cheers, Graham. |
