A little bit of the wild west (Hotel Cheyenne)

I have stayed in the Cheyenne twice and i like it. Sure the rooms are quite small compared to some of the other hotels, but the fact you have 1 double bed and bunks saves space.

The rooms are set into blocks, named after things from the wild west, there is also a laundry which could come in useful if you have children or are planning a long stay.

Breakfast is abit more uncivillised then in some of the other hotels, with some pushing etc, but the food is similar to all the other hotels.

This hotel is ideal for families as there is many areas where the children can play and also some great photo opportunities. At the front of the building (where the airport buses drop off) there is also a character meet and great, where i managed to get a photo with Mickey himself with very little wait.

The rooms are fine, although a little more basic then some of the hotels, and the cowboy theme is very evident. The bathroom is an ok size, with a standard size bath and shower. The rooms can be a little noisy, depending upon where you are located in the building.

The buffet meal is good value as you can eat as much as you like, though it is very meat based, so not sure how good value it would be for vegetarians. The food was all warm and well cooked.

On our last stay, our hotel room at the Cheyenne flooded, and the staff were fantastic, we were upgraded to a room in the Newport Bay, the staff helped us pack and then drove us in a minibus to the Newport Bay where they checked us in and even offered to take our bags to our room. Ok the flood was a major inconviance, but these things happen and the staff couldnt have done more to put things right.

Overall as a budget option the Cheyenne is a great place to stay.
