Advantages: less costly than the other hotels on the resort bar one.

Disadvantages: busy check in, canteen meals (but to be fair no different to any of the other hotels)

Of my three visits to Eurodisney, tow stays have been at the Hotel Cheyenne.
As this is a step up from the only other hotel that we have stayed at - The Santa Fe- Im not really comparing it to the other more expensive hotels at the resort.

The Cheyenne is Wild West themed and really looks the part.

On arrival I found the reception to be large, well staffed, well signed but extremely busy. It took me on our first visit two hours to check in whilst my parents tried to keep the children entertained in the small kids corner.
I overcame this problem the next time we visited by paying for On Board Check-in on the Eurostar. I would highly recommend paying for this little extra service as it means that you can go directly into the parks on arrival. It literally saves you hours!

The identical rooms are spread over 14 blocks that run along the main street and squares. They are all named after wild west persons - Weve stayed in the 'Annie Oakley' and @Billy the Kid' - so you get the idea!

The rooms are fairly big and sleep 4 in a double and bunk beds. I must mention at this point that whilst they advise the top bunk not suitable for children under the age of 6, I personally wouldnt recommend the bottom bunk for children under 4 either as its fairly high off the ground were they to fall out of bed and there are numerous wooden corners!
The headboard, decor and cowboy shaped lamp all add to the Western feel.
There is a kettle in the room for those that are interested. To those with babies, powdered milk etc this is invaluable information that the travel agents dont like to commit to.
The bathrooms are spacious enough and have an over bath shower. There are always towels a plenty and weve never run out of loo roll!
We did however request more pillows and these came immediately with the ever friendly staff.
Its probably also worth mentioning that weve never really had a view of anything out of the window but tall grass which is great for privacy but a little dull.

No matter which block you're in, you are never far from the 'Chuck Wagon' cafe.
Whilst following in the western decor it unfortunately feels very 'school canteen- like, as you are herded in for the all inclusive continental breakfast.(on check-in you are asked what time youd like breakfast and are given the relevant coloured slot, but to be honest you cant decide what time the children will wake for the next 3/4 days so we just went as and when)

I have heard though that the breakfast is exactly the same regardless of which Hotel you choose to pay to stay in.
We have tried the evening eat all you like buffet too, and all in all its excellent value for money compared to eating in the parks, especially if youve worked up a huge appetite walking around the parks all day.

To the front of the Hotel, where the coaches stop, there is a wagon which is the photo point where your little ones can meet and greet their favourite characters.
This background, I must admit, makes for an excellent photo opportunity and feel free to take your own pictures too as the photos taken and sold by the staff can be quite pricey.
The queues for the meet and greet can be pretty grim so its an idea to check the board in advance for times and characters and get there early else face the moaning little ones as you stand for an hour to smile alongside Minnie Mouse!

There is a store on the main Street so dont feel pushed into buying your souvenirs in the parks. The store also has snacks, drinks and again for those with younger children, the ever-important milk. It is pricey though but good to know.

The Cheyenne has an outdoor adventure play area with teepees and climbing frames. We never actually met anyone in here as I guess everyone is busy rushing to the park.
There is also an opportunity here for pony rides - just pre buy your token at the store.

In the evenings there is often entertainment provided, usually singers dressed up in cowboy hats and stetsons, all enticing you to stay and spend in their overpriced bar area.

The hotel is located a scenic 15 minute walk along the river from the parks but they do offer a free shuttle to and from at regular intervals.

To be honest in my opinion for the amount of time that you actually spend at the hotel on this type of holiday this hotel is more than ample and certainly cheaper than most of the other hotels on the resort.

Summary: Get off your horse and drink your milk!

I agree-the hotel is really just somewhere to lay your head after all the excitement in the park! Ann
