Advantages: Very well done theme and cheap prices

Disadvantages: Rooms a little small and chuck wagon restaurant also a little small

The Hotel Cheyenne was the second of the five disneyland Paris hotels that I have stayed in so far. I stayed here in 2004 with my then pregnant wife and our only child at the time who was six.

The Hotel itself is in the style of a wild west theme and is designed to complement frontierland from within the park itself. The rooms you are allocated are all in small blocks with wild west names such as billy the kid or annie oakley and each one has about 20 rooms or so depending on size. The wild west theme continues throughout the decor of your rooms which provide a cowboy boot lamp among other themed items. The theme of the hotel is done very well and cannot be faulted as the villiage setup works really well and the rooms, as always with disney are of excellant condition and really clean. The rooms come with one double bed and a set of bunk beds which in my opinion is the first of this hotels flaws, this is because the floor space you get is reduced because of the bunk beds. In the other disney hotels you get two double beds which greatley increases the floor space and is very noticable, even with only one child at the time we fealt it. The bunk beds also come with a warning that the top bunk is not to be used by children under the age of six or people over 11 stone.

As with all Disney hotels breakfast is included if your staying in the hotel and the hotel Cheyenne provides a cold buffet style breakfast including cold meats, cheeses, rolls and a selection of drinks. The breakfast itself is of the standard of the other Disney hotels that serve cold breakfast (some serve hot also) but the size of the chuck wagon restaurant is a little small for the volume of people traffic and it is the hotel that we struggled most to find a table to eat at. On an evening the hotel runs a buffet style meal which is of reasonalble quality and the price is cheaper than the buffets at some of the other hotels. On an evening you can also get a drink at the red garter saloon but I do recall this being on the expensive side for a drink and only did it once.

The bathroom consists if the usual, shower over bath, basin and toilet and you are also supplied with the Disney complementary shampoo and shower gel which are replaced if used.

To get to the park you can walk, which takes about 15 minutes but most people do get the free shuttle service which takes around 2 minutes. The shuttles however can get a little full so you may find yourself having to wait for the next one on a rare occasion.

My opinion overall of this hotel is that the theme is done very well, unfortunately the rooms are a little small and the chuck wagon restaurant is not large enough for the number of guests so I preferred the cheaper hotel Sante-fe to this one if your on a budget but if your like me and just want to try them all, it is a reasonable hotel that even with the few problems doe's not detract from the enjoyment of the holiday.

Summary: I prefer the cheaper Hotel Sante-Fe due to room size
