Hotel Eiger (Grindewald, Switzerland)

This hotel was absolutely excellent and certainly made our holiday. We stayed here in the summer and it is really close to all the transport links, including the First gondola which is a 5 minute walk away and the train station which is about 10minutes walk away. It is located on the main street in Grindelwald, and although not typically alpine from the outside, it certainly is inside, it is just what you want in a mountain resort. It is next to various shops, bars and restaurants but no noise can be heard in the rooms. We actually stayed in the apartments but these are integrated into the hotel.
