We stayed at the Jupiter hotel in September 06; after reading the reviews we thought what have we let ourselves in for. We had long delays at the airport and arrived early hours of the morning, the staff could not have been more helpful, they gave us something to eat and a drink then helped us to our rooms. Our rooms were very clean and the maids did an excellent job cleaning them every day. We found they go beyond what is expected of them. My friend didn’t unpack her daughter’s case before going for breakfast, and when she returned the maid had unpacked it and hung everything up for her, she was very impressed. Having read the reviews we were a bit sceptical before our holiday which we booked with XL.com (who we will use again), the first thing people need to remember that it is a family resort which holds 3000+ peolple (majority kids) so expect hundreds of kids screaming and shouting and not peace and quiet. We have 2 boys aged 5 and 9 and they loved it ! The rooms are basic but very clean and air conditioned which worked fine for us (we stayed in hotel Marte) but generally you go on holiday not to spend it sat in your room like some people seem to do who moan on here. Returned today (24 July) after a one week all inclusive stay in the Jupiter - 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 4 y/o). On arrival, we waited over 2 hrs for our room to be made ready, and were eventually shown to a very small, very basic room which bore little relation to the one described on our booking form - no beds for our kids, for instance. It also directly overlooked the hotel's refuse disposal area, so all week we had a great view from our balcony of the skips, bins and rubbish bags. After reading the reviews we were a little scared,however we were very happy upon arrival. The pools are aplenty and the food and drink the same. The staff worked hard and were great, the entertainment staff worked hard, especially a woman called Terry. The room was small but we only slept there so that was fine. We recommend the Pirates show which was well worth the money. Dont except a room your not happy with, if your not happy say. The staff are very good and speak excellent english. The food is great even for the picky eaters which we have 2. There is plenty of choice and you will not find an empty tray as the chefs work hard.
