For our recent holiday in Cuba we had opted for a two centre stay as a way of combining some relaxation with a chance to sample the culture of the country. For me the part of the trip I was most eagerly anticipating was the time we were to spend in Havana and as part of that I was looking forward to staying at the Hotel Nacional De Cuba, after all if it was good enough for Sinatra then it must be good enough for my own version of the rat pack although for some reason the family were not keen on the rodent description. Back in 2004 I was lucky enough to celebrate the New Year in Havana the capital city of Cuba and vowed if ever I were to return I would spend a few days staying with the lady that is proclaimed to be 'The Jewel of Havana' better known as the Hotel Nacional De Cuba. Needless to say during that first trip I fell in love with the people, the music and the overwhelming ambience of the country and of course Che Guevara (all over again). The Journey....
