Originally designed in the 17th century as a garden called "PLANTAGE". Between 5 and 15 minutes walk from Central Station, Damsquare, Rembrandtsquare; the old citycentre of Amsterdam is very confined and approximately three kilometres wide. All the main features are located in this area. Walking in combination with public transport (good and frequent tram- and boatlines) is the best way to see Amsterdam. Our guests have the key of the frontdoor of the hotel and can go in and out as they please. We have just returned from a really successful trip to Amsterdam - successful due to the fact that I had heard a lot of good and bad things about the place. I was concerned that it wouldn't be 'my cup of tea'.
