Hotel Poem is an excellent small hotel in the mid-range of prices and with a quirky, family feel to it. The name of the hotel comes rom the fact that the 16 rooms are named after famous Turkish poems (which are displayed, translated into English). Together with the friendly staff the hotel seemed to really care about the people who stayed in it and wanted them to have a good time. The location is ideal awith around five minutes walking time to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We spent a week in Istanbul last summer and stayed in this wonderful hotel. It is not the biggest hotel in the world and only has 16 rooms. Each room is however given a unique name. Each room is named after a poem which, as my girlfriend puts it, shows that the hotel has a soul. The hotel itself is situated in a great place. It is in the centre of an area called Old Sultanahmet. It is essentially in the centre of all the tourist area but this does not mean it is bad.
