      Very helpful

I'm dreaming of the day I can return!

I stayed in Hawaii for 3 weeks over December/January 2009 and stayed in Honolulu for 3 days at the Hotel Renew.

We arrived at the hotel after a very stressful and exhausting 20 hour flight from London, England. The first thing we noticed when we stepped into the hotel was the smell. To this day I cannot get that smell out of my head. It smelt of fresh flowers, fresh fruit, paradise! It was incredible and I wish I could recreate that smell in my own house. On checking in at the reception desk we were offered a glass of cold fresh pineapple juice which was lovely after such a long flight and really freshened us up! We were also offered chilled face towels scented with lemon juice which was lovely too.

      ~~Our Room~~

Our room was beautiful. We paid an extra $20 to be on the top floor and it was worth it for the amazing views of the ocean. There were fresh hawaiian flowers in vases and a free bottle of champagne in our room as well as a letter welcoming us to the hotel. The bed was large and comfortable and although we were suffering from severe jetlag we managed to get a good nights sleep there. The bathroom was of an average size. There was enough room to keep our toiletries by the sink and the shower was quite spacious too.

      ~~Value for money~~

I think this hotel is excellent value for money. I would say it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and we only paid £100 a night, which seems to be an average price around the internet.

The hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast daily which we had. There wasn't lots of variety but cereal, yoghurts, fruits, etc. All delicious! I loved eating fresh pineapple for breakfast and my other half stuck with some yoghurt, which came in all sorts of bizarre flavours, like guava!

The hotel is in a perfect location for seeing the best that Honolulu has to offer. We were a 5 minute walk from Waikiki beach, and only 10 minutes walk away from the main shopping district. We drove to Diamond Head crater one morning to see the sun rise, and that was about a 30 minute drive from the hotel.

      ~~What I liked about it~~

I loved the smell, I loved the room, I loved the flowers and decorations. The staff were so friendly and always willing to help us, and offer us ideas on where to visit. The breakfast was delicious, being greeted with fresh pineapple juice was such a nice touch. The hotel was clean, our room was immaculate and the views of the ocean were amazing. It was in such a great location and amazing value for money.

      ~~What I didn't like about it~~

      Having to leave!!
