Advantages: great pool area

Disadvantages: a little bit outside of port el kantaoui

I went to this resort in Feb 07 and had chosen to go to Tunisia because we had never been before and it was more exotic than Spain! We also got a very good deal on the holiday so the price was also a factor in our decision. After we had booked it I began to read reviews of the hotel on holiday review websites and started to dread the fact that we were going to this hotel which hardly had any good reviews. When we got there we had dropped people off the coach to all these huge hotels with massive driveways that looked gorgeous, we pulled up to ours at the side of the road! We were worried about traffic noise as our room overlooked the road but it really wasnt that bad. It was nice to watch everyday life in Tunisia go by! The food was also brilliant, I lived off the gorgeous pancakes for every meal! There was also a great selection of foods, meat dishes, and veggie dishes too. The pool area was brilliant too, very clean and drinks available from your sunbeds! With it being February the water was a bit too cold to swim in but there were people using the huge waterslide! The resort of Port El Kantaoui is an excellent place to spend time with a lot of open air restaurants and shops which are a short taxi ride from the hotel which wasnt dear. We did not go to the beach straight from the hotel we got onto the beach at Port El Kantaoui and just found a quiet part! All in all I would ignore the reviews on the normal holiday review websites. The staff in the hotel are very helpful and friendly and we had a great week for our first holiday in Tunisia!

Summary: brilliant holiday would definitely go again!
