Hotel St Gothard Arinsal

Stayed at this pleasant little hotel in Arinsal, Andorra for Christmas week 2004 for our first Snowboarding holiday and I was very impressed! I was very concerned about the hotel before I got there as due to my last work place I am used to staying in timeshare apartments and not 'package deals'... all I can say is that this hotel met my high expectations for sure! I would agree with the 4 star rating that it has, some people dont think its worthy of it but you have to remember that Arinsal is a small area and for the size and scale of the area, the hotel is lovely. I stayed at the Hotel St Gothard for 10 nights in July 2001. Primarily a ski-resort, Arinsal is a small mountain village quite a way above the height of the capital 'city', Andorra la viela. This means the views are stunning and the hotel is surrounded by alpine peaks. The hotel is a good size, and one of the most popular in Arinsal, due to it's cleanliness and the quality of buffet food served there. The staff were (mostly) very civil and happy to help.
