When you visit Hyderabad in India a visit to Ramoji film city is a must.
Ramoji Film City situated at a distance of 25 kms from Hyderabad(Andhra Pradesh) India, is one of Asia's fastest growing tourism destinations.The 2000-acre Ramoji Film City, established by the Ramoji Group amidst a vast expanse of Nature, is an integrated film studio complex.This place is amazing in that besides film studios and sets , it has hotels, parks, and a lake and one can seen various Indian films taking shape here...
There is a lot to see here ...A flower valley, Dancing fountain,An adventure land,Animal kingdom to name a few..There are many Hotels within the complex catering to various class of people..
HOTEL TARA , right at the entrance of Ramoji Film City is a budget hotel..
On our last visit to Hyderabad we got to stay here for 2 days.This came with the package deal that we had taken, and i must say that i was very happy with my stay here.
First of all ,it is a very well managed property situated inside Ramoji Film City commanding a great view of the entire film city and the lake.
It has very elegant interiors, with a lot of cane furniture and very subtle shades of coloring. There are 126 rooms in all, we were given an air conditioned double room called the Executive room , and though it was meant for two, they provided us with an extra couch for another person at a cost of Rs 700/ which i feel was very reasonable.The room had a TV, telephone , a small fridge and internet connection for a laptop.
And i must stress on the hospitality and service by the staff which was excellent. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and helpful and very cheerful...

There are 14 conference rooms, which have a combined capacity of 20-3000 people. .This place is Excellent for family travel, and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The food is very good, mainly Andhra food which is spicy and tasty.The usual Buffet breakfast with a choice of fruit juices,and cut fruits, cornflakes,eggs to order, toast and the Indian Idlis, dosas,upmas,poories etc;The lunch had a lot of variety too...one could go for the set meals like the Thali which came with Rotis, vegetables and dhal, rasam,rice, curds, sweets or the Non-Vegetarian version with an addition of chicken and fish dishes or order individual dishes like Naans with a choice of Dhals, and Non vegetarian and Vegetarian dishes.The food was very tasty.
The room service again is very quick and efficient.
There is a bus service to Hyderabad every 2 hours.There is also a guided tour of the film city organised by the Hotel which is very useful as one can see the entire film city pretty quickly.One can skip the long ques etc;
