The most important thing to consider (in the heat) is the air conditioning. Sometimes this can appear to break down but in reality the reception has turned it off. An amusing touch in this Roman Catholic country, if your surnames do not match then you may be given seperate beds unless you ask for a double bed. Living in a hotel in Argentina carries high status, it proves something. For this reason it can be cheaper to rent a house for a month than it would be to live in a hotel for a week. Nevertheless you will be directed to hotels by well meaning people who assume that this is the last word in glamour.
