Excellent front desk with safe deposit boxes. A small swimming pool is in front of reception. There is a travel agency on ther premises and a car service just outside. The cars are old but the rates to the airport are not bad. The coffee shop though very basically furnished does good evening meals. A Basic American or Thai Breakfast is included in the room price. Bangkok Federal Hotel 27 Sukhumvhit Rd Soi 11 Bangkok 10110 Thailand federalhotel@hotmail.com 66-02-2530175 Very reasonable, safe hotel and friendly staff. a little run down but you see the same faces there many times as fellow travellers seem to come back again. It is loctaed up Soi 11 off Sukhumvit and tends to be quiet at night. Great coffee shop with great Thai Food and Euro/Amer cuisine. About 900 baht per night upper room and 800 baht ground floor rooms. Best to email for reservation and say you heard by word of mouth or they will try to get you for 960 baht per room. hotel has nice pool area as well. Not fancy but safe, and great ...
