... my favorite Masseur. The traditional massage...not sexual is tremendous. If I pass through BKK I always go to get a massage from SURADET, his number is 78. He is young but was trained by the best and knows his work. For 250 BAHT to the massage parlour and a tip of 800baht you cannot find a better massage anywhere. Cafe at the hotel is pretty good too! ...more

Premium Review Hotels in Bangkok in general: Flophouse Heaven - New Siam 2 (731 words)

Rating:

If you are arriving in Bangkok on a budget then you would probably be best served going to the Banglamphu area. For most Banglamphu constitutes the streets in and around the Khao San Road. With a little bit of walking you'll often find cheaper and cleaner places to stay just around the corner. At the best of times finding suitable accommodation in Banglamphu can be a frustrating experience. If you are not met by the dreaded house-full sign, the rooms that are on offer are likely to be comfortable matchboxes or ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Shangri-La ...Paradise on Earth. (782 words)

Rating:

On my visit to Bangkok I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel, on the banks of the historic Chao Phraya River. I chose this hotel as it is voted one of the top ten hotels in the world consistently, which after a ten hour flight from Heathrow, I thought my girlfriend would appreciate the self indulgence, as anyone who has read my opinion on flying will understand why. We stayed in the ultra luxurious Krungthep Wing which was out of this world. On check in at the reception area which had a very large lobby area which was light and airy, with exquisite flower arrangements and statues and panoramic windows overlooking the river, we were taken too the Krungthep ...  Read the complete review

Tel (662)2530646 / 2557172 Fax (662) 2544716 EMAIL honeyho@ksc.th.com One of the original 4 American 'R&R' Hotels the decor in the rooms is getting faded but everything works and the rooms and hotel are kept really clean. Excellent front desk with safe deposit boxes. A small swimming pool is in front of reception. There is a travel agency on ther premises and a car service just outside. The cars are old but the rates to the airport are not bad. The coffee shop though very basically furnished does good evening meals. A Basic American or Thai Breakfast is included in the room price. In January ...  Read the complete review

About 900 baht per night upper room and 800 baht ground floor rooms.
