Set close to the bottom of table mounrtain the views from the hotel are magnificent, especially from the hot tub on the roof!! The standard rooms are very modern and beds are large and comfy. The bathroom is not separate and the shower is glass and is situated in the bedroom .. ok if your not shy. During my week's stay in Cape Town I had split my time between two superb hotels The Cullinan Inn located close to the waterfront and The Table Bay located on the Waterfront. ~~~~**The Cullinan was the first of my stay.**~~~~ We had prebooked a transfer with the Hotel direct to collect us from Cape Town Airport, it was a top of the range mercedes (most hotels use this car for pickups) it cost us R100//£9.00 approx and the transfer took approximately 35 minutes and it was definately the most stress free transfer I have ever had. The Cullinan is a 4 star hotel and once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the Concierge we were then ...  Read the complete review

Okay so the title may not make you want to stay at the Breakwater Lodge Hotel, but hopefully after reading this opinion you will change your mind. The Breakwater lodge hotel was a 19th century prison before being turned into the hotel, which now offers inexpensive accomodation with spectacular views of the bay and Table Mountain. On the doorstep of the hotel is the Two Oceans Aquarium and the indoor craft market, while just 2 minutes away is the Victoria & Albert Waterfront with it's many eateries and fine shops including the South African Mint where you can purchase your Kruggerreands. The hotel has 300 rooms which are designer to suit the busisness man, ...  Read the complete review

I spend two months on and off in Cape Town between sep 08 and march 09 .. this is a amazing city with so much to see and do! so what about the hotels? The first hotel i was put in for work was the city lodge .. avoid this by all costs! it is barely ok for one night stopovers let alone a longer stay. Rooms can be paid for by the hour (enough said) and im not actualy sure they clean them between guests. That said, it is very close to the airport. I moved straight to the protea fire and ice in the centre of cape town city. This is a well known chain in SA and it did not dissapoint. Premium Review Cape Sun Hotel - Good (164 words)

last year and this have stayed at the Cape Sun Hotel which is situated in Central Cape Town. The advangtes is that it is easy to get around, and the Cape Town Tourist Office is less than a block away. You cannot though (like in most of South Africa) walk around after it gets dark - and the staff are very concerned about your safety. The staff on the door are very helpful, and park and fetch your car for you. The hotel itself has great views of Table Mountain or the Sea - if yu are high enough up and make sure you ask to be high up! There is a small Fitness room and plunge pool at the top. The fitness room is smal and not very good, so it is better to go ...  Read the complete review
