Advantages: hotel, food, drinks, beach, everything!!

Disadvantages: coming home!

This was a 21st birthday present from my boyfriend, a 1 week all inclusive holiday at Riu Karamboa in Cape Verde on the Boa Vista island. I cannot fault the hotel it was perfect! It had only recently opened (we stayed in march 2009) so the furnishings were perfect. We had a ground floor room with a separate living room and bedroom, they were both big rooms with plenty of room, there was a fridge in the living room where they supplied free bottled water at reception. We had 2 balconys, 1 from the bedroom and 1 from the living room. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the maids visited everyday. The bathroom was a good size with his n hers sinks, and a separate toilet room. There was both a bath and a shower overhead.

The food was delicious with both the foreign cuisine and typical british foods, I consider myself to be a fussy eater and I had no problems serving myself up breakfast, dinner and tea, sometimes even going up for seconds! The drinks included in the all inclusive package were very good, with a selection of cocktails, and some good beer, which you could help yourself to at the self serving beer pump! The entertainment was ok, and will improve with time, the staff worked very hard at the shows and there was some funny nights!

The hotel in itself was very big!!! Set right on the beach which was gorgeous! White sands and plenty of sunbeds to go around, the sea was crystal clear! There is also a big sand dune which looked spectacular, and the miles of beach allowed for a good walk up and down in the lovely hot weather.

The pools were brilliant! Big and plenty of them, with plenty of sunbeds to go around! There was also a jacuzzi and seats in the swimming pool by the swim up bar!

If u want a luxuriuos relaxing holiday in Cape Verde this is definately for you!
