A holiday apartment with no insects or vermin (Hotels in Crete)

After reading and seeing on the television all the bad things about Greece and the state of apartments I want to tell you about the apartments we stayed in.

It was called Virginia Studios and apartments and is in Aghios Nikolaos on the island of Crete.

Ag.Nik as it is called by most of the locals is about an hour and a half from Heraklion which is Cretes Airport.

The apartment itself was great. The first thing you noticed was the seaview which can been seen in most areas of the apartment. We were less than 15 minutes walk to the beach.

The apartment itself had, as you walked in the door, a kitchen with a microwave, hob oven, table and chairs, fridge freezer and basically everything you needed for a good holiday and expect in a kitchen.

The bedrooms consisted of a double bed and bedside table on both sides of the bed and a single bed.

A table and chair in the middle of the room and even a fire place as the central vocal point with a mirror over the fireplace.

The water was solar powered but warm water most of the day.

In the complex we had a lovely swimming pool and sunbeds which were free of charge.

The pool was very clean and was cleaned every night and they had certain times because of the cleaning that we were not allowed in but this was at hours which were when we didnt want to use it anyway.

There was a good pool table that cost 1€ a game.

The cleaners went in every other day and changed sheets etc.

There was a bar and meals were cheap, quickly served and good value. They had both English and greek dishes. If you ask what the dishes consist of they are very pleased to tell you exactly.

We had no complaints at all about the food neither the compartment.
