Advantages: Luxury hotel, very convenient for sightseeing. Beautiful courtyard where restaurant is situated

Disadvantages: none

This summer, I went to Granada for a couple of days. We stayed in an absolutely fabulous hotel called the hotel AC Palacio de Santa Paula. It's a 5 star hotel situated right in the centre of Granada, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing during the day, as it is only a very short walk to get to pretty much anywhere!

As for the Hotel itself, it's pure luxury! There are 3 room types, all with air conditioning; AC room, AC Superior room, and AC suite. Prices range from £135 for the standard rooms, to £682 for the luxury suites at peak time. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and spacious, all with ensuite bathrooms and their own wide screen TV.

The hotel facilities include:

* WIFI Internet
* Business facilities
* Free Minibar
* 24h. Laundry Service
* Restaurant
* 24h. Room Service
* Parking
* Non- smoker rooms
* Fitness centre
* Sauna
* Turkish Bath

The Turkish Baths, sauna, and fitness centre are all free to use. As is the Minibar, however, the Laundry service (like most hotels) costs more. It's also quite expensive, at around £7 per garment, so I would recommend that you just take enough clothes with you, so they don't need to be washed.

The 'El Claustro' restaurant, housed in the old convent library in the cloister area is absolutely exquisite. You can eat there for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Courtyard is just beautiful, and is so serene; you feel that nothing in the world could bother you whilst sitting there.

The Hotel offers an extensive buffet breakfast, complete with homemade pastries. You can also chose from a range of cooked breakfasts, including very fresh poached eggs, bacon and eggs, etc, and this is all included in the price of the hotel.

All the staff at the Hotel were wonderfully friendly and helpful, and recommended several good restaurants and bars to us.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Granada; it really did make the trip for me. The generally helpfulness and friendliness of the staff were exactly what I look for in a good hotel.

Summary: Luxury hotel in the centre of Granada.
