Heidelberg's a very touristy town, so there are a large number of hotels of varying prices to suit all budgets. I've stayed there three times, each time at a hotel/hostel of different price and here are my three mini-reviews: Hotel Regina: this smallish hotel is about a ten minute walk from Bismarckplatz, very close to the University and a couple of minutes from the tram that runs between Bismarckplatz and the main station (Hauptbahnhof). It has two buildings - only the main building has internet access, so if you need Wifi make sure and get a room in that building.
