Hotels in Las Vegas in generalNewest Review: ... even want to go inside. The next thing about each hotel is it has its own outside appearance. You would have thought that hotels are just buildings but in vegas they all have their own colours and themes. For example with the venetian it actually has an Italian theme. Then the treasure island is a reddy type colour. The themes carry on inside the hotels and it really brings them out and makes them even more special to look at and be in. Then as well as the theme, the majority of the hotels have features. So for example the New York New York hotel has the different New York Landmarks as the room towers which is amazing. I think a... more |

I recently travelled to the good ol' US of A - to Las Vegas for my best friends wedding. Myself and the other half went as we are all long time friends. Firstly my other half hates tall buildings and is not that keen on flying, as they are our best friends, he put his worries aside had a couple of beers and got on with it. If you know anything about Vegas you will know that unlike other places in the world (there are exceptions I'm sure) Vegas Hotels are a tourist attraction. You are encouraged to go into them and spend your money at their gaming tables, their shops or at their attractions. The Luxor This is where we stayed. The pyramid shaped ... Read the complete review

DATES: 1/27-1/30, 2003 WHY THE VENETIAN My husband and I love to try new hotels. We?ve been to Vegas many times but rarely stay at the same place twice. Also, he likes new hotels because they?re cleaner and less run down. RESERVATION I shopped all over the net for the best price?the Venetian?s own site offered the best rates for the days we would be visiting. Add to that the great feature of calling them live (you type your telephone number into the ?call? page and your phone rings instantly) or through the computer (speakers & microphone required); it was a natural that I would order through their site. It was simple to reserve and there ... Read the complete review

Las Vegas is world famous for its Strip, a road along which 9 of the world?s 10 largest hotels lie. If you start off at the airport end you arrive at the Mandalay Bay hotel. This is familiar because of its large golden windows and it is where Lennox Lewis fought Hasim Rahman last December. It is a fairly large hotel with an aquarium containing sharks. It also has a monorail service to the Luxor and the Excalibur. The Luxor is the next up and this consists of a black-windowed pyramid with 1,500 rooms and another 2 blocks next door containing 1,000 rooms each. The Luxor is themed in ancient Egyptian stlye and the entrance is through a giant sphinx. It ... Read the complete review

When we decided to go to Vegas we had not booked a hotel so we searched the internet and rang up the major chains to see what the prices were. What was really important for us was the location as we did not plan to hire a car once there but to our amazement we were horrified to find that the prices were quite high as it was a weekend. Undeterred, we continued until we found a gem of a hotel on the Strip opposite Treasure Island and next to the Venetian. The gem of a hotel I speak about is called Casino Royale as the price was approximately half what we were quoted from anywhere else that had rooms available on the strip. We booked a double room for ... Read the complete review
