For anybody who has ever been to Vegas you will know that there is no better home for hotels as they are absolutely fabulous. I will attempt to give you an oversight of what you can expect from hotels in Vegas by this review without boring you on how fabulous they all are. It is the best place I have ever been to and I have never seen so many fantastic hotels and here is why. Beware though you will want to go to Vegas after reading this.

So you have come to the Vegas strip or you are thinking of visiting Vegas and are wondering what hotel to choose. What I will do is give you a general look over of what to expect from the hotels and then give you a small bit of detail about each hotel to help you out.

In General
So what you can expect from every single hotel in Vegas is that they are extremely big. I have seen big hotels before but nothing can prepare you for the size of the hotels here. They are massive!!!!! The next thing you will notice is that as well as being big they are extremely well built and look new. You know when you go to some places the hotels look nothing special but in Vegas they look amazing.

So when I say about the above, for instance you have the mirage hotel which is huge and gold and although it has been on the strip for ages it still looks brand new. Now every hotel is like this, there is no shabbiness about any of them so you will not be disappointed or not even want to go inside.

The next thing about each hotel is it has its own outside appearance. You would have thought that hotels are just buildings but in vegas they all have their own colours and themes. For example with the venetian it actually has an Italian theme. Then the treasure island is a reddy type colour. The themes carry on inside the hotels and it really brings them out and makes them even more special to look at and be in.

Then as well as the theme, the majority of the hotels have features. So for example the New York New York hotel has the different New York Landmarks as the room towers which is amazing. I think also things like the Caesars Palace hotel has statues and fountains with this theme which is amazing. You will actually be amazed!!!

So apart from the appearance, the themes and the features, you also have the pure magnitude of the size of hotels once you are inside. In the UK we go to city centres for casinos but every hotel in Vegas has a huge casino in the hotel with literally hundreds of machines and gambling tables to choose from. Every casino is well looked after and you don't find people playing up or drunk as they get moved on. The casinos are not intimidating which is what I thought they would b e in Vegas but instead they welcome you to play and have a go.

Then apart from the casinos and general hotel rooms, you get more than one restaurant in each hotel to choose from. Then you have bars too. Then apart from this you will have the hotel shop selling souvenirs but in a lot of the hotels you actually have what can only be classed as a shopping mall which is crazy. I knew these hotels were big but nothing prepared me to walk in and it take me a good couple of hours to look through the whole hotel and even then I am sure we missed stuff.

Each hotel will also have a theatre so you can go and see a Vegas show and you can actually see a show on any day which is amazing.

There are so many hotels to choose from in Vegas and in essence they all contain the same but to help you make that choice I will tell you about some of my favourites now.

Treasure Island - This is where we stayed and it was fabulous. This hotel is known for the pirate ship outside and it has a daily and nightly sirens show which anybody can go and view for free. Inside it is very pirate themed and there is even a siren motorbike which looks very cool. I loved staying here and the rooms were huge.

The Venetian - This is one where I would stay if I go back. It has actual gondolas going round the hotel and you can go on a ride for $15 each which for it to do this again shows you the size of the hotel. There is a huge mall inside and the Italian theme is lovely and romantic. In the middle of the mall they have daily entertainment so we saw magicians and opera singers.

New York New York - This was one of my favourites as there is an actual rollercoaster that runs through the hotel which is mad I know but true. The shops are fantastic especially the Harley Davidson shop but my favourite is the New York diners that are upstairs. There is also a pretty big arcade upstairs which is cool but this hotel just looks amazing.

Excalibur - This is a castle themes hotel and the hotel actually looks like a very colourful Disney castle so go and check it out on google. Inside it is all medieval themed and the show there has an actual jousting match so is amazing.

MGM Grand - This was one of the original big hotels in Vegas but I think the Venetian has took it over. This has a huge gold lion outside and inside are actual lions you can look at which again lions in a hotel is just mad but only in Vegas. Again there is a cool studio that you can go and give your opinion on shows but we didn't have time to do this.


So there you go, a little bit on what you find in every hotel and then some specifics on a few of my favourites. In short though I don't think you can get a bad hotel on the Vegas strip as from what I have seen they all are buzzing and look amazing. I think there is no place like it and it is just the pure size of them that amazes me. What I love at night is that they are all lit up and look great, especially the huge Eiffel tower at the Paris hotel.

I give hotels in Vegas a huge massive 5 stars as I cannot fault them at all. Love it.
