Advantages: Big Big Hotel

Disadvantages: Noisy, slow room service

7 Nights in the MGM Grand, staying in a standard Emerald Tower room. I cant recommend this hotel enough, yes its big, yes it can be noisy but what a week. More restaurents than you can visit in a week, more slots than you could play in a week ;-) although I did try this.. A beautiful water park, gambling machines set into the bar, so you can drink and gamble sitting down.

The only reservation I have is the room service, its not very fast but then with 5000 rooms its understandable.

This hotel was a good base in a good location to see the rest of the strip, Luxor down the road looked nice but I was glad to get back to the MGM in the evening.

One tip. Dont throw away the map they give you of the hotel when you check in, its invaluable as you DO get lost no matter how careful you are.

Tip Two. Dont forget to watch the free shows at the other hotels, Treasure Islands sea battle and Ceasers Palace statue coming to life are two of the highlights.
