... started in the next door bungalow. The problem may have been sorted but my advice is switch off the gas when not in use - either on the heater or at the gas bottle at the rear of the bungalow. Now the good bits. Despite the above this is a great place. The bungalows in question are on the side of a ravine so expect up to a 100 steep steps to get to them but the views are great. First a serious warning. I recently stayed at this hotel in Ranomafana and nearly didnt survive. The problem is the gas water heaters in the new bungalows. Due to a leak which had been reported and "mended" we had a fire and then a flood at midnight - luckily I was awke and it was dealt with quickly. The next morning another fire started in the next door bungalow.
