Maldives Holiday Island

I visited the Maldives last September and found it amazing your holiday starts when you are landing you look out your window and you can see all of the islands scattered with the torquoize seas surrounding them it was out of this world!After we landed and found our rep we got a speedboat to our island.It took us about 2 and a half hours which was a bit tiring after a 10 hour flight from London but it was all worth it when we got to our island(you can get a seaplane to take you there for about £100)

When we arrived the staff were really helpfull they took our bags off the boat and brought them to our room we gave them a tip as it was polite to tip any waiting staff.When we were waiting to get checked in they gave us a cold towel and cocktail which was really refreshing!

Our bungalow was a nice size it had a double bed and on the last night they decorated the bed with flowers which was really pretty.Our bathroom was a spacious with a bath and shower combined.Outside there was a washing line and shower so you could shower underneath the stars.Outside the frontdoor we stepped out on the beach and we got our own sun loungers with our room number on it so noone could steal them on you.

There are 2 resturants in the complex the main resturant was a buffet resturant which has really fresh delicious food and has got a good selection from all different kinds off rice and curries to fresh fruit and every desert you can think of.The 2nd resturant was a snack bar with pizza burgers and chips.I only ate in this resturant once because i perfered the food in the main resturant.The only thing I can complain about is that in the main resturant you are allocated seats and you have to sit with another couple and it can be awkward if you don't know what to talk about.

There is also 2 bars 1 was a beach bar and the staff are more relaxed here and more fun but this bar closes at 8pm but I would advise anyone to go here and watch the sunset its amazing.The main bar is more professional and the staff are very helpfull and serve you at your seat.There is some entertainment but not much some nights there is karoke or crab racing.In the complex there was a games room with a pool table and table tennis.There is boards up that tell you what trips are going on in the next week which is very helpfull.You can also take a trip across to Sun Island free of charge and its a 15 minute boat trip its alot larger of island and you can use their spa or pool I would highly recommend going there.

This holiday cost me around £750 for the week its a bit pricey but I got all my food when I was there paid!Everything else is put on a tab and you pay for when you leave which is slightly annoying because you dont know what you have spent but the drinks are cheap around £2 a beer which is all I drank because I love a beer in the sun but as far as I remember all drinks were reasonable!

Overall Maldives is a breathtaking resort and the Indian Ocean is out of this world but if you want a lively resort this is not for you it is a relaxing holiday with unbrlievable surroundings!
