Montreal

A former french colony has a chic french atmosphere, boasts fine museums and grand architecture as well as a reputation for fine cuisine. I have visited 2 hotels here and they were both pleasent experiences.

Quality Downtown

This is a slighty cheap hotel with prices for a twin room ranging from 33 to 43 dollars a night. It is value for money, offering simple comfortable and brightly furnished accomodation nothing really posh. Its is conveniently located in Montreals business district and is surrounded by and array of shops, bars and restaurants. It is a truely great hotel for the price and if on a low budget this is defeintly the place to come.

Queen Elizabeth

This is a very up market hotel that has great facilites and a very nice pool. It is the largest hotel in Montreal and is its most elegant. Prices start at $55 a night. It is connected to the extensive underground network, subway and train station and offers stylishly modern bedrooms with soft coloured furnishings. The food is not to be missed. This would defiently be the hotel of my choice any day.
