Advantages: Modern and stylish, Good location, Friendly, efficient service

Disadvantages: Room service is a bit pricey, Rooms are not cheap, but are definitely value for money

We stayed here for 6 nights over New Year 02/03 and really enjoyed it.

The hotel is modern, stylish and luxurious without being too fussy or grand. The room wasn't huge but it was big enough and very quiet. The bathroom was lovely, with a separate shower and bath.

We ate dinner once in the restaurant and ordered room service once. The food was of a very high standard although perhaps a little pricey - we ate breakfast everyday in local deli's.

The staff were friendly and courteous. We had a slight problem with our safe and it was fixed immediately.

The location is great as well, being near to 5th avenue without being right in the hustle and bustle. We got a good price through quikbook.com. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

N.B. Being a French chain it is very popular with French guests.

Hotels in New York are usually overpriced, with tiny rooms. This sounds worth bearing in mind.
