Advantages: Close to Raleigh/Durham airport, Very large rooms, You get a suite not just a hotel room

Disadvantages: No restaurant on site

We stayed in the Comfort Suites in Cary – 16 miles away from Raleigh-Durham Airport. We booked the first and last nights of our holiday here so that we were near the airport. Finding the hotel was a little tricky, not sure whether this was the hotels directions or our map reading skill – or lack of.

The rooms, or suites are very nice. Decorated in light, bright colours - lemon & cream, they are large and airy. We had a king suite, so had a huge bed (bigger than UK king size) and dressing table, wardrobe and TV. There was a sofa and chair with coffee table, desk and chair and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink and coffee maker. The en-suite bathroom was very large too.

There was an iron and ironing board provided too and the TV provided films and games if you wanted them. (Small charge applicable).

The hotel offers a continental breakfast as part of the room rate. This consisted of a help yourself mini buffet of toast, muffins, bagels, cereals, sausages, omelettes, fruit, yoghurt and drinks.

There was also a Jacuzzi, swimming pool and gym available on the premises. This particular hotel did not have a restaurant, but there was a very good one just up the road.

As a one night stop-over this hotel was more than adequate. The rooms were very comfortable and the service good. Other Comfort Suites do have restaurants, so if you require one, look around. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We shopped around on the web to get the best prices for hotels and managed to get this one $69 per night, per room. The advertised room rates were $110.

Good opinion, i've used the Embassy Suites quite a bit but never tried the Comfort Suites - i'll take a look next time i'm over.
