Hotels in Orlando, Florida are generally quite good but to be honest if you go there on the cheap like we have done a few times you get what you pay for. It really depends on what you do on holiday, if you are out all day everyday and merely just need the hotel as a base to store your clothes and sleep in, then the basic hotel/motel will suit you just fine. If you like to spend time and go back to the room and get ready for a night out have a few drinks and relax then I would suggest paying a bit more for your hotel, as from personal experience going back to a bog standard room thats dull and maybe not the cleanest is not pleasant. I spent the ... Read the complete review

We have been lucky enough to visit Orlando several times and by far and away the best place we have found to stay is Sheraton Vistana Villages. Location- This hotel is situated on the Southern end of International Drive. It is a set south of the attractions and restaurants which make International drive very busy so it is much quieter than many hotels. I-drive is easily accesible in about 5-8 minutes by car, there is also a stop for the I-drive trolley bus outside the hotel. Seaworld is about 5 minutes dive away, Universal studios area is about 20 minutes north and Disneyland entrance is less than 10 minutes south. The roads are easy and there are no ... Back in 1996, my mum , dad, brother, his then wife, their kids and her parents planned to go to Orlando. They stayed at the Grosvenor Resort near Disney Village. We thought it was too expensive, so we booked one of the All Star resorts. At the time there was a choice of All Star Sports and All Star Music Resort. We chose All Star Sports, don't know why really, just picked it at the spur of the moment. It was going to cost me and my husband £799 each for two weeks and that included a 14 unlimited hopper pass to the Disney Theme Parks. I thought that was excellent value as my parents had paid £899 and only got a five day pass. The pass ... Read the complete review

I don't think it really matters where you stay in Orlando as far as service and quality goes. The Americans expect a certain standard and they get it. This is a part of the world where the words 'the customer counts', really means something. The rooms will easily accommodate up to 4 people. We stayed in the Comfort Suites on Turkey Lake Road (it was classed as International Drive area), and the room had 2 double beds and a double sofa bed. We've also stayed in the Howard Johnson in Maingate West, Kissimmee and this too had 2 double beds and plenty of room for 4. Talking with friends, they've all said the same. The rooms have at ... I have stayed in a few hotels in Orlando and the general area. But the best places I have stayed in by far is a villa located in Poinciana which is just south of Kissimmee. The particular villa I stayed in was owned by a couple who rent it out privately, but there are many other, similar properties to choose from in almost any location within Orlando and Kissimmee areas. The villa stands on a quarter acre plot in a quiet residential road. It can sleep up to 8 people. It is approximately a 30 minute drive to Disney and central Orlando. The drive is very beautiful and easy. There are no homes on either side or rear of property so it is completely private and not ... Read the complete review
