Sheraton Vistana Villages The Sheraton Vistana Villages is Virgins highest rated apartments in Florida (2002). Sheraton is a large company, like the Hilton, that has many different kinds of hotels and apartments across America. When booking our holiday to Florida I compared all kinds of hotels, but the Sheraton Vistana always came out on top. I didn?t just look at Virgins ratings for this, but searched the Internet. It had a big pool, a quite pool (not unusual though) and a outside spa, daily room service, fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, a whirlpool bath, 2 TV?s with over 70 channels, video machine, air-conditioning. You see, the Sheraton Vistana Villages is a time-share idea, so everything is there, but the slots that haven?t been sold, are rented out to holidaymakers for 7 or 14 days. You may thing that your on holiday and wont need all this, but its nice to dry your swimming stuff without it hanging up, or cook something for breakfast. Our apartment had a kitchen/dinner lounge, bathroom, and bedroom. It was equipped for 4 adults (One King-size bed and one large sofa bed). Even though we were paying the supplement for only 2 of us in a four-person apartment, the apartment worked out cheap compare to many placed I looked at. Yes we were paying £100-£150 extra compared to some hotel/apartments we looked at, but we had loads of space, loads of facilities and an amazing apartment. The complex had its own travel company, so there was complementary travel to Disney. One night we were collected from Disney in a Limo, which was a nice bonus. The complex was on the main route of the public bus service, which was useful, but there again most hotels were. The only real disadvantage was that the complex was right at the bottom of International Drive, so it was an hours public bus ride to Universal Studios, but the advantage was we were nearer Di
sney. The complex has a 24-hour desk for transport and dinning, someone is always there to advise you where to eat, where things are and arrange taxi, tickets and dinner tables. They will even phone for you to avoid putting the phone cost on your room bill. It?s not all good though. The complex has one place to eat, which we tried on the night we arrived. It?s a sort of bar, shop, food place. We thought the food was disgusting and expensive. We were there in the middle of September, and the complex wasn?t very busy at all, no screaming kids and the pool was never packed. Talking of the pool, this was the main feature of the complex and was magnificent. All in all, the complex was excellent, clean and the staff were friendly and would do anything to help you. It made the holiday. £699 inc flights, accomadation, travel (or car) and Universal Studios Tickets
