A quick tip for a very nice and cheap lunch in Paris. Go to the Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville (BHV) tube "Hotel de Ville" - not far from Notre Dame. It's a fantastic department store byt the way - find the restaurant on the 4th or 5th floor and there you can enjoy a great lunch (help yourself cafeteria type with salad bar, cooked main courses, starters, cheeses and large sweet selection) at a very reasonable price for a capital city and, best of all with a fantastic view on Paris and nearby Notre Dame. That's all !
