Hotels in Penang

From the bus station in Penang (which is just a couple of minutes from the bridge from mainland Malaysia) it was no trouble getting a cab to our hotel as there were a load of drivers calling out at us to give us a ride. It took about 15 minutes from here to get to Hotel Mingood which is in the historical Georgetown (the main town in Penang). I have just come back from a holiday in Penang and we stayed in the Continental Hotel. It was quite cheap for a double room and at first sight seemed quite nice. The first room we had was very nice. It was very spacious and had a really nice view. The bathroom was quite clean and had all the facilities you would expect. They could have provided you with more soap though. There was a good cable channel which showed a good range of films. Generally, I was happy with the accommodation.
