I stayed in Budapest a few years ago, attending a conference. This place seems like a nice, 'economy' hotel with few frills but a place to lay one's weary noggin after a hard day's conventioneering. Let's also start by saying that it is centrally located, within walking distance of Hungary's national art museum and is but a stone's throw from the wonderful Irish Cat bar that sells top-grade Hungarian goulash.

The rooms in this hotel are formulaic for a low-to-mid price range; few amenities, basic washing and sleeping facilities and a small television showing dodgy 'adult' advertisements and (to me) incomprehensible Hungarian adverts. The showers and in-room toilet facilities are, as one may expect for this standard of hotel basic, but perfectly adequate to meet one's personal hygiene requirements. The hotel staff, by the way, are courteous, clinical and efficient. Well trained, methinks.

The breakfast area is not the most spacious one may find, and the breakfast is of the 'continental'variety, so don't expect Full English/American when you eventually surface in the morning with a growling stomach. But, all told, the place is comfortable if basic, and very much carries a generic low-to-mid-range 'chain hotel' feel to it. What it isn't, though, is a flea-pit. For which I am truly grateful ...
