Advantages: Cheap, Friendly
Disadvantages: not that good
The hotel. The hotels location is very good being at a convergance of so many Metro lines and bus stops.Republique is a great are for shopping , cafes and restaurants that wont cost the earth. The Rooms. these are quite small and clean, very vbasic with a tv and shower en suite. In summer do not open the windows as you are immediately swarmed upon by flies. The bed is comfortable but nothing to write home about. The tv has CNN and BBC News dso at least some english language if you miss it that much. There is a room safe that is easy to operate and is safe as the name suggests. Breakfast. This is the only meal offered at this location and the buffet is well arranged. You have a choice of Cereals, fruit, fruit juice, cold meats , cheeses, bread , croissants, coffee , tea, preserves and butter. So all you could want. The room is in the basement and is clean and utilitarian but pleasant. The Price. Average of £50 per room per night so good value considering where you are, however I would pay more for a better quality hotel in Paris at least go for a 4 star as this really ensures quality. The staff. helpful and friendly. Paris is the city for lovers so go and enjoy

- 22/11/01 Nice of you to pop by and assess my english ;-) As for the ?'s.......ask dooyoo - they weren't there when I first posted the op and have only appeared since the server move to Madrid... I spent ages removing them all one by one and then when I updated the op they all suddenly reappeared. If you read in Opcom you'd see that I've been posting trying to find out how to deal with this bug.
Please feel free to read any of my other ops, I think you may discover that I knowhow to use ?'s appropriately! |

- 22/11/01 From my personal experience with Ibis Hotel in Republic (as in the address written about the opinion) I find this opinion spot on, can describe it any better, particularly the part about the windows in summer time as it can be a nightmare. |
