Advantages: Loads for young kids
Disadvantages: Not for Adults on their own
I have just returned from this Hotel in the last week. Previously I had travelled and stayed at the Prestige part of the same Hotel Complex.
The hotel sits in the south east corner of Menorca, about 30 minutes from Mahon and the airport
Accommodation:
Consists of Living Room with Kitchenette, Bedroom and a Bathroom. All rooms are in small two story blocks with eight apartments per block. Rooms immaculate and cleaned/tidyed daily. Masses of storage including hanging. The was supposed to be aircon but I couldn't get it to work but we didn't need it. Fans in both main rooms.
Living room- sleeps up to two on sofa beds, TV with limited chanels, French doors leading on to patio/balcony. The kitchenette has twin hob, fridge and a sink along with a small dining table.
Bedroom- Sleeps two in twin beds. I have no idea if there are any double beds but most people I spoke to had Twin beds.
Bathroom- accessed separately off the living room. Bath with separate shower. Ample hot water.
Swimming Pools: There were two main areas. One down at the bottom of the complex and one at the top. Both had Kid pool as well as adult one. Both had pool bar close by. The one at the top tended to be quieter and it was worth the trudge up the hill.
Restaurant: We were half board and therefore had breakfast and evening meal. Both were buffet style.
Breakfast- there was a hot grill where bacon eggs and pancakes were made of then to order. Other than this there was the usual continental spread. Coffee very good, Tea rubbish
Dinner: Again a hot grill where a Chef cooked fresh fish and meat sometimes to order. Usually a rice dish of the day and then some other dishes with various sauces. Eventually became tired of Buffet.Sweets flattered to deceive. Good icecream. Kids buffet not very good, all fried food and chips.
Entertainment: Day time lots of sporting activities but I did not try. In the evenings there was a Kids disco at 8.30 in main bar area. Not much but bar huge and Kids could run around lots. Then at 9.30 there was usually a show put on by TUI staff. All appeared to be german but spoke great English. Kids loved show. There was a Flamenco night which must not be missed.
Kids Club: There appeared to be three clubs run by the hotel. Our son went in to the 2-3 club and was supervised by a young german girl on her own. Not sure of qualifications but ok for an hour or two if you are near by.
Prices: It cost £1800 for three of us. That is two adults and a two year old including flights. We were only half board and drinks were very expensive on top. Others around us payed much less and had been upgraded to all inclusive for free. All inclusive drinks included Smirnoff, Gordons and Grants
Resort: Very small village with a great beach and some nice restaurants. Not a lot for older kids or adults on their own.
Who is this hotel resort best for?: Young families up to age of 12.
Who should not go to this hotel?: Anybody who cannot stand kids
Would I go again?: Absolutely, but I would negotiate my price. I would not pay for all inclusive but if it came as free upgrade i would take
Summary: Excellant hotel, with plenty for young Kids
