The International Hotel in Beijing is an amazing place to stay while visiting Beijing.

LOCATION: The hotel is located in central Beijing around 5- 10 minutes walk from Tianiman Square and the Forbidden City. It is near large shopping malls and around 10 minutes walk from the food markets which serve amazing street food.

PRICE: The hotel ranges hugely in price, we paid £60 per night for bed (a suite) and breakfast in January which is low season - I think that it costs at least £200 per night in high season.

SERVICE: The service in the hotel is out of this world. There are door men who cant do enough for you. The reception staff are very friendly and speak English, they are very helpful. At breakfast and other meals the staff will smile and be as friendly as possible. You feel like a king.

ROOMS: We were given a suite - which had a 6 foot bed and a sofa. In the living room there was a TV, desk and a comfy sofa. There was a second TV in the bedroom - both with Sky and about 30 channels.

BATHROOM: There are two sinks (his and hers) and a shower and a huge bath in one room. The toilet and bidet are in a seperate room.

CLEANLINESS: The rooms are cleaned every day and they are spotless. You are also visited in the evening to turn down the beds.

BREAKFAST: Fit for a king - a fresh buffet with everything from fresh fruit, to noodles, rice and cooked meats and fish. you can have cereal and pastries, waffles / meat balls etc all freshly cooked or an English breakfast - you do not need lunch after this!

FACILITIES: There is a gym and spa and massive swimming pool all free - you have to wear a swimming hat though - don't ask me why! There is also a bowling alley and several bars / restaurants. There is a business lounge that does a free afternoon tea - again great for saving you money in Beijing!

OVERALL: The most amazing hotel that you will ever stay in and highly recommended.
