MagdaDH Bed and Breakfast L' Angolo del Poeta (Bergamo, Italy): ... spend our last night in Italy in beautiful Bergamo, a town from whose Orio al Serio airport we were flying back to Prestwick and which Ryanair calls "Milan - Bergamo", but which is in fact located 50km away from Milan, in the beautiful, hilly area near Lake Como and which is a worthy destination in itself. We booked a triple the room plus cot for the toddler over the phone, using Internet information ...

stuleg Hotel Amadeus (Milan)
... 2008 drew to a close I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to pay a flying visit to Milan, the purpose of which was twofold - to soak up some culture in the fine city, and also take in a football match at the famous Stadio San Siro. Because the trip was part of a package we were unable to specify flight companies or hotels of our own accord, instead relying on the powers that be that put these all inclusive city breaks together. So it was we found our party of three transported from Malpensa airport to the hotel Amadeus in the fashionable shopping district of Milan, a clean looking three star hotel, boasting eighty rooms. Location, Location, Location Little...

grahamt Hotel Bellettini (Florence, Italy)
... we recently decided to take a short break to Florence, one of the things we needed to arrange was a hotel. Although Dooyoo has a couple of reviews of hotels in Florence I decided to consult my favourite Oracle, TripAdvisor. I ve relied on this informative website in the past and have found through it hotels that have been good value for money. I booked this hotel based on the positive reviews I read there. I noticed the few saying the place was dreadful but put it down to local competitor hotels doing "spoiling" reviews. The hotel is located down a narrow street near the Medici Chapels. Here it is very well located for access to all of the sights and ...

SugarSpun Express by Holiday Inn Rome East
... far from the road. There s a supermarket about a minute from the hotel, which is handy for buying cheap bits for lunches and dinners as there s no restaurant at the hotel. The buffet breakfast s pretty good though - rolls, meat, cheese and cakes, cereal, fruit juice & coffee. I have yet to understand why cake is a breakfast food in Italy, but when in Rome... The rooms are fairly uneventful - clean, average sized (which is honestly palatial by Rome s standards, where nobody believes that swinging a cat is something one ought to do in a hotel room) but with fabulously powerful showers. No baths though, and CNN is the only English-language channel you re getting unle...
