Great Hotel with a Great Location (Johann Strauss Hotel Vienna)

Advantages: Near to everything that the city could offer.

Disadvantages: Might get a bit warm in summer, the aircon. was a bit dodgy.

My husband and I stayed over the Easter break with the main aim of visiting lots of museums so wanted to be in an area that was near to the public transport and walking distance to restaurants. The tube was about twenty metres down the road which was perfect. We were both very pleased with the the room which was on the top floor of the building and at the back. The room was clean with a good size bathroom that had a shower and bath. The WC was separate. There was an excellent breakfast buffet that offered a good variety of food, both Austrian and English with friendly service. The food was replenished regularly and made for a good start to the day. In the evening, after returning from a restaurant, the hotel had a quiet bar where you could have a final drink. At all times the staff were helpful and gave suggestions for places to visit or events that were happening. We would definitely go to the Johann Strauss again when visiting Vienna.

Summary: All in all this is a lovely hotel with good service and a great location.
