Although at first glance the street the hotel is located on appears quite rundown, the hotel itself is quite luxurious and the main building is set back from the main road, so that you are not bothered by the traffic. It was built last year and has been decorated in an ornate style. I found it to be clean, tidy and functional. During a weekend break in Munich I stayed at the King’s hotel Center. One of the reasons I decided on this hotel was the fact that it is located very centrally (only about 3 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the shops). Another reason is that on most weekends, they do a special deal called The King’s Weekend where a double room costs just 145DM (approx. 45 pounds) per night including a rather tasty breakfast.
