Not a Recommended Disneyland Hotel (Kyriad Hotel at Disneyland Resort Paris)

Advantages: There is a Free Shuttle Bus Outside

Disadvantages: Smoky Rooms, No Staff, No Children's Facilities

We visit Disneyland a couple of times a year as it's actually a lot more affordable to visit than a lot of people realise. A family of four can go to Disneyland and stay in one of the budget hotels like this one for a few nights mid-week for only around £500 including eurostar travel.


This is one budget hotel that was a bit too budget for our liking though as we travel with a young child and this hotel had no facilities to cater for children. There is lots of outdoor space, but all of it is decorative and there is not so much as a climbing frame!


The bedrooms are adequate and we found them nice and clean although there was a strong smell of smoke in the room we stayed in even though smoking is not allowed. The bathroom was small but adequate and my Mrs approved of the all the space for her make up and toiletries bits.


The staff here weren't very helpful and in fact there was rarely ever more than one person behind the reception desk. In the restaurant there was always a long wait for service and the prices were high really for such a low standard of food.


There is a bus that runs to all four of the budget hotels which all sit in a row next to each other about five minutes away from the Disneyland parks and the Kyriad bus stop was right out front of the hotel which we found really convenient. In fact it was the only real redeeming feature about this hotel.


The last trip we went on we stayed in the Holiday Inn which cost us a few pounds more but was well worth the extra cost. We were right next door to the Kyriad so still close the park on the bus route but had access to children's facilities and an indoor pool. If you can get a good price for one of the other three budget hotels, or afford to stay in one of the DIsney hotels if you're taking a longer holiday, then I recommend you do that.
