Newest Review: ... walked through the reception. The staff were friendly and attnetive if you needed to know where anything was, or if you wanted to arrange any trips they would help. The downside to the hotel was the decor in the rooms, they seemed to be a bit stuck in the 70's which was strange as the rest of the hotel seemed much more modern. We went in januray so it was exremely cold there, and the heaters ... more  ... in the room were not that briiliant either, but they provided you with plenty of bedding and quilts for more warmth. The room consisted of a double bed, large window where you could literally see inside the empire state building windows thats how close...more |

This trip to New York was a huge surprise for me. My partner treated me for my 21st birthday a few years ago and we stayed at La Quinta Inn in Manhatten. When we arrived there the hotel was right in the centre of manhatten, and literally bang next to the empire state building, that was only on the next street! The front of the building looked nice with classic brickwork and the american flag flying outside with a very traditional feel when you walked through the reception.
